What does an outdoor lighting scheme cost? |
| |
The answer, of course, is it all depends.
If you simply want a couple
of fittings to make getting from the car to your front door easier, you
might spend just a few hundred pounds.
If you want to light a
large garden with an elaborate scheme so you can really enjoy it at night,
it might cost several thousand.
But regardless of how
ambitious your lighting scheme is, there are three cost elements to think
about:
1. Our
design service
If you use our outdoor lighting design service, we make a charge of £100. This is payable in advance, but is refundable when you purchase fittings worth £100 (£117.50 including VAT) or more. Our design service usually includes two visits to your site
(see
design).
2. The
cost of the fittings
The cost of the fittings is
dictated by how many are specified, of which type and in which finish.
To give an example, one of
our most versatile and popular fittings is the Adjustable Spike Spot. This
is priced at £62 in a powder-coated finish, £91 in solid copper and £161
in solid stainless steel (prices exclusive of VAT).
So lighting the main
features of an average-sized back garden with, say, ten Adjustable Spike
Spots would cost £620 using powder-coated fittings, £910 using copper
fittings and £1,610 using stainless steel fittings (prices exclusive of
VAT).
A full price list is available on request. Just

or call us.
3. The installation cost
Again, this
varies on the size and complexity of the job. To give a rough idea, we
recommend budgeting at least £600 for an average sized back garden.
